Created as a special commission, the Lord Tree holds the images of the three phases of Man within it.  The Green Man ( Youth) is represented in the leaves.  the Hunter ( Hern) sits in the branches observing the world around him.  The Sage ( Wise old Man) is carved into many faces through out the bark of the tree.
