Sun Amulet
A client wanted to replace a piece which went missing over the years. A Sun Pendant mounted on a Tiger's Eye Disk. He had an old photograph and sent it to me via internet. I was concerned about the way it was mounted: prongs to hold the stone would (over time) create worn spots and perhaps fracture the stone. The prongs in the back would also cause discomfort to me as he would wear it as the prongs would dig into his chest.
The solution was to make a secondary disk in the back providing equal pressure on the stone and also provide an opportunity for the prongs to be recessed into the secondary disk.
In the design I also included the Worm Ouroboros to the Sun face to add Eternity to the design. Sterling silver and Tiger's Eye.
